worried about induced menopause

I found out today that because of painful ovarian cysts they want to shut down my ovaries chemically to see if they are the problem (DUH!!!!). They will put me on Lupron which will basically send me into menopause. What I am worried about is depression. The medicine can cause it. Menopause can cause it. And I have enough of it already, thank you very much. I am scared.

It sucks, but your not going to die! LOL You might have hot flashes, no period, and cry and commercials. They will no quickly enough : )

I've had a radical hysterectomy (every things gone) It was amazing how much emotional shit, was gone when the ovaries were gone!!!! OMG, I was more than OK! Its so easy to blame everything on the Bipolar.

Run your test - I don't know if you have kids, but no period and no female problems????? So Worth IT!!!!!!

Emotions, depression ((((BIG HUG)))) Next year, you'll have a whole NEW set of problems : )

I had a radical hysterectomy at 46 and it was the best dam decision I ever made. . . .

I may have to have my uterus removed due to continuous outbreaks of HPV. I am only 29 ( for 5 more days anyway) lol and that will throw me into an early menopause and that scares me also. I have lots of depression and other issues as well! So I understand your worry and feel that same way!

Hugs, ladies and thanks...I was feeling so alone and scared. You really helped me.

I already had my uterus and cervix removed years ago. That helped for a while, then the cysts came back...

I am calling my pdoc to see if we can be proactive concerning the depression...

I don't know if you can take Hormone Replacement therapy with this or not but if you can it relieves most of the symptoms..

    Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.
