Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

As I said in my introduction post, I've been very depressed as of late, even at one point considering suicide. I also mentioned that I have an excellent support network, mainly my boyfriend. He's been doing everything he can to help me feel better...encouraging me to put on some make-up, a nice outfit, and just go out and treat myself to something sweet from Sonic. He pushes me to work out on my treadmill when it's the last thing I feel like doing. He's helping in every way he can think of. And at my lowest moments, he just holds my hand and lets me cry. For some reason (despite my constant insistence that he is the best boyfriend ever), he feels like he's not doing enough. I tried to explain that sometimes I just have to ride it out, if you will. We've been together for eight months and this is the first time he's seen me this depressed. One thing I love about my relationship with him is that I can tell him everything. I even told him the night I was considering suicide. He talked me through it. He's in therapy himself, and I encouraged him to ask his therapist questions and get advice from her. He said he will, and I know he will.
I lost my job last week. I WANT to feel better and optimistic. But it's so hard....
Is this one of those times where I just have to take it moment by moment and not focus so much on the future?

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

yes... absolutely
lots of good wishes while you do.
