Why should I go on living?

I'm tired of living for other people! My son's a selfish shit most of the time! My husband cares more about our 3 chihuahuas than me! People have hated me and treated me like crap all my life! Why should I stay on this rotten plane of existstance?

Jenn, I am sorry you feel so poorly. I know you have struggled with your husband and son's treatment of you in the past. When we don't feel good emotionally, it seems that is when others treat us the worst.

You are important and you do have many reasons to live, it just doesnt feel like it right now. Did something happen to trigger this? xo

Us members here are people too, including last I checked me. I'm sending hugs to you. I don't know you. Just a question. Is it at all possible your feelings about being treated like crap all your life might be caused by being depressed. Its very common when one is down to completely dismiss any positive experiences in one's life and only concentrate on the negative. There's a psych term for it. From David Burn MD cognitive therapy. Its called mental filter. Filtering out all the good and only leaving in the bad parts. Could this be you?

You must learn to love yourself. A 12 STEP GROUP will help you if you work "the program". I am only on Step 2, but I am learning about being good to myself. I will pray for you, JennS!!!!!

I feel for you that you feel that bad. I have been there. Just the other day as a matter of fact. When you are depressed, everything feels bad even if it's really not that bad. Things always seem worse. Get your meds straightened out and you will probably feel somewhat better anyway. Good luck.XO
