Getting to sleep is one of the most difficult things that I'm currently dealing with. I'm unemployed (was laid off in November) and my schedule is pretty open.
For me the evening and night is a very peaceful time with few stresses. Conversely the day time is filled with therapy appointments (twice a week), house work, paying bills and all of the other difficulties of life.
I find myself staying up later and later. I browse the internet, read, take care of paperwork, etc.
It seems that I'm not really manic just avoiding the day time when life is difficult.
Thoughts?

I was pretty nervous about it, because I've never had any procedures related to my heart or any other major organs. I've had knee surgery and thyroid surgery, but to me anything to do...

Takes a while to adjust it back - but you are right, the days are longer and suck, when I get up early and the nights are OK and I hate to go to sleep, and I hate to wake up!
I've always been like this - Bipolar Dx - well, helped explain it a bit.... I think I'm just a night owl, and hate long Days...
A lot of people with BP struggle with sleeplessness unfortunately...It's a difficult thing for me at times as well... In fact I'm just getting over a bout of it..
I'd be very careful of your caffeine intake...It can have a huge effect on a lot of people... I have 2 cups in the AM and that's it... Some people can't take it at all
Do you think you might need a med tweak???... I'd talk to your doctor about it if it's become a problem
Big hug for you...x
