Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
yep i am in one peachy mood today (hooray for me)
There's a great quasi-existentialist novel called 'The Immortals' about a group of, well, immortals lol. They become cave-dwelling creatures who no longer speak or view anything, as they have exhausted all posibilities.
Perhaps that's our destiny as a species. To return to the mud/primeval soup/whatever.
I think we are here to be nurtured, cared for, loved, taught, to be a good person and to be a productive person....to be caring and loving, strong and to be able to give and share that with others....
We are here to learn from our mistakes, and be strong to make our lives better.....
I believe we are here to set a good example for our children and to enjoy our lives to the fullest until our dying day.
I remember reading a philosophy book about it, and what it called 'The Matrix Problem' i.e. what is to say that if you did 'wake up' in a new reality that the new reality isn't also an illusion i.e. yet another false rality?
I always had a problm with The Matrix for that reason - he is 'awakened' and just accepts this new world as the actual one, rather than thinking that this new world could also be part of another illusory world.
I personally think we're here as an opportunity to be brave enough to kill ourselves - I go completly against the catholic view that suicide is the worst way to die.
Assuming there is a next life, perhaps only those who are brave enough to 'hit the lightswitch' get access to it? This is, in my mind, just as sensible/crazy as any other idea of life/death. I think those of us who fade out go nowhere, whereas those of us who take the jump go on to something bigger and better. Maybe life is just a test to sort out the wheat from the chaff?
Then again, i'm a delusional whackjob, so don't lisen to anything I say
