Tree of Life. Watched it twice this week, not everyone's cup of tea but for whatever reason it resonated with me. I like Terrence Malick, I much preferred "The Thin Red Line" over Spielburg's "Saving Private Ryan".

Haichiko: A Dog Story. Beautiful true story about the bond between an man and his pet Akita. Have a couple of boxes of hankies ready. And do a search on it after the film, there's an interesting article(s) and pictures of the dog.
