I see a lot of listings in my area for LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker). To me, "social worker" ≠ "therapist". am I being to dismissive? I want someone who really knows what they are doing, not someone who will just listen to me talk. What should I look for?

Just wanted to give a thank you to Mid, Arfie, Malibumark, Greeneyes, Mlro, Girlincalif, and Suncloudjd! Praying for the best for you.
