I know some of us don't like to share our middle names, but I like to hear about them. Usually a middle name is named after someone, however embarassing that middle name might be.
Like my fiance...he was given 2 middle names. John and Herbert. Herbert is after his grandfather...he's embarassed of it, but I think it shows the history of his family.
My middle name is Marie...according to my Mom, it's after the "Blessed Virgin Mary". I don't know why she didn't just give me the middle name Mary.

When I got married I took my last name as my middle name so it would stay in my military records. Thought of going with a hyphenated last name but that would be too messy. Oh what women do to get along.
