What's your Middle Name?

I know some of us don't like to share our middle names, but I like to hear about them. Usually a middle name is named after someone, however embarassing that middle name might be.

Like my fiance...he was given 2 middle names. John and Herbert. Herbert is after his grandfather...he's embarassed of it, but I think it shows the history of his family.

My middle name is Marie...according to my Mom, it's after the "Blessed Virgin Mary". I don't know why she didn't just give me the middle name Mary.

What's yours? And is there any history or story behind it?

I don't have one. Really. It used to bug me growing up so when I got married I kept my maiden name as my middle name. Problem solved.

My middle name is Kay... after my moms sister...

My LH has a name like your fiance.... his is Scott Register..... to help carry on his mother's maiden name.... he says it is h*** to sign his drivers license... lol

I am Michelle Denise. I used to hate my name, but I think it more reflected the way I felt about myself at that time. SIGH. Although my view of myself is not near as critical as it used to be, it is still there under the surface a bit.

I love hearing about middle names. My children's middle names are Michelle (after her Godmother), and Joseph (after my father).

Marie's are winning here! There seems to be a lot of Maries so far.

My kids middle names are Brooke ( I just loved it with her first name) and my sons is Scott after my LH... I also named them both with a K starting their first name, cause mine is Kim..well Kimberly... So it's...

My mom wanted to name me Avril Lynnette. Istead she let my sister name me and made the middle name shorter.

My sis, dumped me a long time ago. I wish I didn't have either of the names.

As I've said before if I ever successfully get help through therapy, I'm going to change my name officially.

If I had a daughter, I was going to name her Mary Emma after my grandmother. Instead I had a boy so I named him Joseph Kelley.

My students asked me why I gave him a girl's name. I told them Kelly/Kelley can go either way.
