Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
BTW, I don't agree with that whole thing of siblings have to be placated on every level in order to keep them from fighting. Sure, I believe in fairness, and considering the children's tender feelings, but that crap of, "She got something that I haven't got---I don't actually WANT it, but I wanna pitch a fit because no one in this world should get something unless I get it, too."
Ever hear of, "Mrs. PiggleWiggle"? Great books. Mrs. P. always has some amazing trick for getting kids out of bad habits. An amusing way to get kids out of the habit of wanting everything that someone else has just because would be to make it a rule that they DO have to have everything everyone else gets. That way, if you drink prune juice, she also gets to sit down with you and have her very own glass of prune juice. If Dad gets some underwear, buy her a 3-pk of men's briefs, LMAO! Maybe then they will get the picture that coveting other people stuff really isn't beneficial.
A BIT on the controlling side I know. I had to compromise for
two brat dolls in one box. I don't understand. It is ultimately
my money. When the decission ultimately is because he thinks she has way too many brat dolls...I guess I won the argument. YAY! I can get what I want!
I agree with angeleyes' first line, too, about getting them what they want in reason.
if i was in that postition, id do the exact same thing as ur doin!! that'd be that. hell yeah!
that would drive me crazy and start fights
im terrible with my money, but working on a budget with my g/f & i let her control it cause i think if i have 50.00 in the bank, it's mine--when in fact most times that's not the case
either way, i dont like the idea of having to explain my every cent or thought
