For those who have known me
Do you really think I have bi polar? I don't seem to have manic episodes or I haven't had one in a long time if ever.
IF that's true than what the hell is my problem?! I have no motivation to do anything. I just want to sleep all the time and most of the time I do exactly that. I try to make my self do stuff and some times I do manage to get a few things done in a day but not all the things I need to be doing.
I have to pace my self and my pace is incredibly slow.
I don't know if I can keep living like this. It's too depressing to think that I can not function as a human being.
I'd like to find my place in this world and I know I am good at some things. But I haven't found a way to make it work for me yet. I have hope that some day I will make my own manga (graphic novels). But I don't have the discipline to make them in a timely fashion. I lose interest in one story and move quickly on to another one before the first one is finished!
Any how. What is my problem? Is it truly bi polar?

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

But I've never been that interested in diagnosis, what interests me is what to do to make things better. Do you use an AD? Do you go to a support group? Do you have ice cream every day? I've used an AD twice in my life. Other depressed times I did little things in my environment to help and it took awhile.
Talk to your doc about your diagnosis or see another doc. But you know what it's doing to you and that's a good place to work from.
I'm sorry to read that. I hope that you see a doctor and try to explain this to them.Actually...to more or less repeat all of what you said would aid them most in order to help you.
It isnt easy trying to motivate yourself or try and get in a routine. Start with small things like, going to bed a reasonable hour setting your alarm and getting up a decent hour. And if you want to stay in bed one day dont hate on yourself for it. dont expect too much of yourself too soon.
As far as finding your place in the world - i'm totally with you there and its frustrating! the only thing i can advocate is dont give up on yourself! You want to make your own graphic novel, (which i think is an awesome plan!), Why not take a small amount of time each day and do something to achieve this goal.
I wish you all the best and hope that you start to feel better soon xx
I teeter on the edge of depression a lot of the time and go into deep depressions now and then.. usually they're situational now..
The meds wipe me out so I'm often tired as well however they keep things in check for the most part..
I've changed my expectations regarding life and it helps .. I'm much more at peace with myself setting goals that are realistic for me..
Have you ever been hypo manic??
Sorry you're struggling sweetie.. If it's depression you're struggling with..without any type of mania a med tweak might help??
Big hug of comfort for you...xo
Other wise I'd call my ups functional. That's when I manage to stay on top of things.
Right now every thing is slipping. Paying bills late putting things off, important things. Cleaning goes to pot..
Years of being stuck in hell - has to be challenged! (((BIG HUG))))
yes i have to pace myself... but doing this helps fight off all the mental judgment that comes when in my stall mode... if it lingers ... the mental just eats at you...
so i trained myself to tackle it right away... feeling bad or not...
the activity itself and the courage it builds counters the negative thoughts...
I have watched you overcome so many obstacles. You are intelligent and have more motivation than you think. You have come a long way, baby. Try to hang onto that.
Big hug and love for you.
But in my unprofessional opinion, yes. You have Bipolar Disorder.
(Or if not that, some other sort of psychiatric disorder.)
I had a period of depression that exceeded 2 years.
I'd given up on it ever going away and was surprised when it lifted.
Good luck. Whatever is going on with you, I hope you get it figured out and that doing so leads to some sort of effective treatment!!
