I had depression really bad for quite a while but a drug called Symbyax got me some relief. It is just a combo of prozac and zephexia but it worked. I think adding an antisypchotic helps with depression. Now lately I'm on the other end of tryintg to keep my mania in check. It's rather a hard think to do because geez you feel so good why would you want to stop it. I sleep about 2 hours a night and spend most of the other time programming all different sorts of software from Java, to C to Windows, to Mainframes. I have to be careful not to get totally obsessed.

It is a real crap shoot for meds to work for me. My favorite meds might not be your favorite ones.

Seroquel, Abilify, Resperdal, Celexa, have been some of my favorites. A couple of these meds gave me algeric side effects and had to be stopped. Damn.....

you have to understand that the meds took 1 week may not do anything..then say the next week or even the nxt day will be the med for you..like me i was on 900 mgs lithiem in 08..went serve toxcity on it big time..then 1 yr later back on it..but was my fault i went toxc i stopped drinking water..im also bp2,,and ocd..i was full blown maninc 5 monthes ending in oct..i know you get discusted from all these meds..you pdoc should know,,that when you take 1 med and you get threw the meds were you dont have anything to work..thats when they go back..i use to be on serquil i gained 100 pounds..i stpped it myself..wrong move!!! but i stayed off it..lost 110 pounds1 yr..have you been on lamctal?? im on 300mgs its keeping me almost stable..belive me friend we all know how long it does take to get stable..took me 5 yrs..then once your stable then triggers are everywere...

Abilify was the one that pulled me out of the depression.......is a good med on a low dose. I take that klonopin, Asendin, which is an older antidepressant and that's it. The occasional seroquel when I start getting irrational thoughts that won't stop. Hope you find something hang in ther, it can take some time. I've been on just about all the Ap's out there and thought there was nothing that was going to work, but I did!!

I love my ambien/trazadone cocktail for sleep.

Other than that I take xanax as needed, I NEED it more than my dr gives me though :/

Zoloft for depression, works ok, I iwish he would let me try abilify with it. Also on lamictal, but I think it needs upped. I was on 150 and was doing good, but my hand tremors were really bad, so I'm back down to 100.

I was on lexapro, it didn't really help.

prozac worked fine but it made me even fatter. I didn't like that. Also a bit flattened. But in the beginning it was great.

My magic meds are Saphris and Clonazepam. I still have episodes but they are farther apart, milder, and shorter. It took about 4 years of trying different meds to find the right ones for me.

Lamictal is what I've been on for 3 years. Wellbutrin for my depression and klonopin for any anxiety. It all works together. Once the right cocktail was found my life was back.
