I had a compute since I was about 8 when my brother who was a programmer would visit on weekend and bring the computer he made home. I played a game on it...there were no graphics just questions about walking through a forest and picking up stuff. I thought it was pretty cool.

In high school took all the computer courses...used cards and filling in the bubbles for the program to work...it was an easy course.

University the same..had computer courses. By then DOS was just coming out and personal PC's. Had an electronic calculatro that you could program in BASIC. Mostly used Fortran in school.

Out of school...used several spread sheet packages like Lotus 123, WordPerfect also to write reports. Saw my first Mac and had a porno game on it where this naked woman was lying out and if you tickled her in certain places she would groan or giggle...lol...first real graphic.

On the interent mid 90's mainly IRC chat rooms. Met my daughter's father that way. Then I ended up teaching computers for several years in a local high school. I was pretty good but when they wanted me to teach an object-oriented language I was out of there and taught science and math instead....with worse results.

I got clean off meth in 98 - rehab therapist told me to find something that interested me. I bought my first PC and was hooked. Tore it down and built it back up. Taught myself to hack and got the funniest job I ever had with MSN - when they still had chat rooms . . . oh before computers? Hmm yeah I was a meth head and a party girl oh and also still able to work. . .

Yes, Surfachica, I also had the thingy to stack my 45's. And I loved my vinyl LP's. But I had another life, besides books, and that was real people and places.

Lately, I have church, school, gardening. But they all involve computer in some way or another. Even gardening - between ordering seeds, researching how to grow things. I even have a bicycling club here, to record the adventures of bicycling.

No doubt about it, the computer has totally taken over my life.

Oh, I used to read a lot of Science Fiction and watch it on TV. I just love imagination, where projecting the future of science is concerned. I will just note, that never in all those thousands of books and shows I watched, was miniaturization heralded as the future. Which it is. I can hardly wait for my new Kindle to arrive, and beginning reading books again. LOL

Actually hung out with the people I talked to.

Did a lot more reading and played sports.

Screwed, drank, did every drug I could find and watch TV.
