What did you do before computers?

I've been chatting online since the mid 90's. Before the online communities formed I use to go out with neighbors walking. or take care of the farm animals and the gardens, or work on paintings... fix things around the house, chores, chores, chores. Now I crave to get on the computer and think I'd be excruciatingly lost without it. The dependency is scaring me.

I was the same way..busy busy busy..and I wrote real letters to friends...BP came about the same time I finally gave in and got a lap top...I'd be lost w/o my lap top now

I didnt. Even as a very small child, we had computers around. My dad was a geek like me and when I came home from school, Id find him playing games.

I love computers even though I have a tendancy to make them break.

i used to waste the countless hours i do here watching tv and i am so glad i tuned out when tv went scare the shit out of you vs reality shows, pick one?

i like the computer so much more, ever since about 20 when i found the philosophy chat board on AOL, i have been hooked. that place was great, had a group of people and we would just talk shit all night long. we all knew each other and we would go from talking deep stuff to cracking up laughing about absolutely anything.

i miss it looking back, even met a guy on there that lived in the next city. we dated, but i was too wild for him. and he was too jehovahs witness for me.

I would read, watch tv, cook, clean. Internet sure is handy, but it sucks that I am not as productive as I used to be. Shall I blame it on the internet or the disease? Or the internet with the disease?
