Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
I guess I hope they find the happieness they fought so hard for and ultimately paid the ultimate price. It is whats owed them and it only seems fare.
Well that's my 2 cents :)
the reward center of the brain is triggered in those who pray to God...
let me ask you a question... do you believe we reward ourselves for praying or is that God rewarding us?
I have such a hard time even grasping the idea that there is no God... then wtf happened here?
One more thing, Go ask alice... the LHC is still trying to find the origin of life "God particle" hasn't yet, made some goo tho...
Have you thought about the pain you would leave with others if you did relieve your own... be it that easy?
will send you link... this stuff is cool!!!
did you know the happiest man in the world is a buddhist monk...
he has meditated for over 10,000 hours and his brain stem is larger than most he has more gray matter than most and his brain fires to the right (happy) frontal lobe more than the left (fear, negative) frontal lobe....
worth doing the research on what your religion has to offer... before you make any long term decisions...?
Having said that, and this might sound contradictory, I don't think that my belief in the "God Gene" EXCLUDES the possibility that there is a God. it may be, that I think you alluded to, that they again, can operate singularly or together - philosophically I mean. I HAVE had a deep spiritual life but lost due to life events. However, as an 11 years sober alcoholic and a Bipolar/Panic/Anxiety person I still hold the door open to a spiritual life. I LIVE spiritually by being as honest as I can with myself and others every day and also extending my hand to others in love and service when I can.
But as to death after suicide I'd have to say I think there is NOTHING, just as there is NOTHING for everyone else. Catholicism would tell you otherwise of course. (I do respect the right of everyone to their own beliefs as long as they don't hurt others). Again, to contradicy myself, when I nearly died at my own hand two years ago and was in a 5 days coma and nearly died many times, as I was coming out of the coma (I don't remember this), I turned to those who were there and said my Mum was standing at the head of my bed/guerney - Mum had died 5 months before, and that she was looking after me and wasn't ready for me to come to her yet (crying now). And yes, it contradicts everything I've said, but I DO believe she was there.
I was raised in a variety of religions and at times have found myself feeling like Job. I come back and ask God in again and again. Our paths are difficult, why?
There is something more, i even believe bp are gifted in ways we have yet to fully understand or appreciate.
i wish my hard times did not falter my faith, but make it stronger.
I also wish i could change the mind of everyone thinking of suicide as an option, the pain on the hearts of the people suicide leaves behind, is incredible. if i could have just said one thing, if i could have just talked him out of it... then 8488438 would be stuck in my head for a good reason not sadness and loss.
I believe each of us must find our individual paths in life and work out our own unique spirituality or relationship with God or lack thereof.
What I believe~~what gives me hope or peace of mind~~may be very different from what others believe. My experiences or beliefs do not automatically negate the experiences or beliefs of others.
I am secure in my beliefs and in my personal relationship with God. I do not feel compelled to argue the existence of God or the validity of my beliefs by challenging the beliefs of others.
Those who would vehemently challenge my beliefs or attempt to discredit my experiences do so because they are uncertain of their own beliefs and relentlessly strive to quell their own insecurities by attempting to disprove what they profess does not exist.
Hugs,
Tracey
