Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

Trying out a new medication starting tomorrow to add on top of my mood stabilizer. Finally talked to my doctor today about the depression that's creeping it's way into my life. I actually have been on it before, a few years ago. But trying the extended release this time so I don't have to take meds 3xs a day. I can barely handle once a day as it is. Been on lamictal for 20+years. Adding different things now and then But always worry about med adjustments. My question, does anybody take wellbutrin here? Does it work for taking at night? Or is morning better? Probably gonna start with AM first, see how it goes. Though I'd much rather take it at night with my other meds. Pills one time a day is much more doable. I've read it makes some people drowsy, and for others it csuses insomnia. So idk. I just do know I wanna pull out of this depression before it gets any worse.

So I have been having a lot of health issues and my cardiologist felt that he didn't get clear enough images of my heart in the office, so he wanted to do a Trans-esophegeal heart Echocardiocgram in the hospital. I was pretty nervous about it, because I've never had any procedures related to my heart or any other major organs. I've had knee surgery and thyroid surgery, but to me anything to do...

Just a suggestion, but do you have a pill box? I have one that is a week long with spots fir am/pm meds. I have to fill it up at the end of every week, but it really helps me keep things organized. Maybe if you got one it would help.
At any rate I really hope it makes you feel better.
I tried it but it sent me to the moon... I hope that you do really well on it though.... Big hug....xo
Generally its recommended that you take Wellbutrin in the morning because Insomnia is one of the more known side effects, so it's not great to take it near bedtime.
Everyone reacts to meds differently, the best thing to do is to start a new med on the weekend or a day when you don't have to work or leave the house and see how you feel for a couple of days. It takes a little while for it to build up in your system and work the way it needs to.
Just a reminder anytime a BiPolar adds an Antidepressant it can trigger a hypomanic/manic episode until your system gets used to it, so that's something to be aware of.
