Am just going to say this:

I've heard from several sources that walmart treats their employees like shite.

That being said, it's still money--and as I said, don't jump in with both feet, yet.

I worked for walmart for 4 years and they completely shitted me over. I was a department manager and they did not back me on any of my decisions and management does not care about their fellow employees. They pile all "THEIR" work on everyone else. Walmart was the reason for my last meltdown. I advise you to not work there, or if you do, take a very low stress position like door greeter lol... with all joking aside, you should really think about what I said.

and as far as twosides experience...don't let that deter u all work places suck in one way or another.

Still, with the job market the way it is, take it. I am having a very difficult time finding a job right now. You can always quit later when you find something else. just think of it as temporary, and try not to get stressed about it if they do treat their employees badly, which is typical of any big corporation.

I'm not saying dont take it... like everyone is saying it is a job and it is money. Just be aware of the way things work with the cooperation. There are so many stores and so many employees that they over look so many things that should be dealt with and do not give the recognition to good workers. I'd go with the 'greeter' option if at all possible.

And definitely would start out part time.

Thanks everyone for your comments and I am sorry that you had a rough time there twosides but the DH wants me to take it.....I have been job searching for quite some time. I am tired of being dependent upon my husband, and we could use the extra money....we are tight as it is....

Depending where you are, it can be advantageous to let employers know of your bp. Special consideration for the best job to work at (less stressful) as well as management looking to support you.

The one thing I can say about walmart is they are understanding about mental illness... but that doesnt mean they wont work the hell out of you and put stress on you because they will. I'm glad your trying to get out of the house. It will help you feel like you are contributing something and it will give you some sense of pride. We all need some kind of independence. I myself can not wait to get back in the work force again.

I don't mind if they use me as a work horse.....I am actually happy that they called.....This brings some happiness to my overall stable existence. I been stable for a year now. I had asked OVR's help to find me a job because I think I am ready and able to possibly hold down a job now that I am stable.
