This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
I went to work this morning and then came home and made a journal entry. I did some other stuff
and then, long story short I tried to give myself the most 'productive' I could be healthy attitude
that ultimately lead to some really nervous manic energy. I am trying to talk myself down a little.
I am nervous about a huge upcoming dental procedure. It's implants from a couple of failed teeth.
It's going to be hugely expensive and just I don't like the idea of an operation going on in my mouth.
Work wasn't so good today but I've tried to not be a victim of it.
I've tried to systematize my outlook today, to try and be healthy. What I mean by that is I tried to keep rational
about just keeping busy and not get into feelings that made me feel powerless. I guess that perfecting attitude
turned into a really amped sense of fear once I started talking to someone on the phone about my appointment on Monday.
I guess I just need to accept that I might not always have a black and white, tied up with a bow sense of things. I just
need to kind of breath through this fear. Take one step in front of the other and do what I need to do. Deal with the gray area
and just get on with the day.

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...

I never liked dentists, but when I was 3 months pregnant I had to have 2 infected tranverse Wisdom Teeth taken out, and in your first trimester you can't have anesthesia or laughing gas, all I got was 13 shots of lidocaine over 5 1/2 hours of the dentist chiseling those 2 wisdom teeth out of my head, I felt every single bit of it. The pain was horrendous afterward, I had lockjaw for 3 weeks, then a pissed off OB/GYN as I couldn't eat..it was a mess and I've never been to a regular dentist since and never will go to one ever again.
God made Sedation Dentists for a reason, and I intend to do my part to keep them in business! lol
