Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

If you love dogs and want an animal to be able to be with you when you go to the grocery store, or wherever, then you should get a dog. They are wonderful companions. You will just have to train them and be sure to socialize them. I'm sure there are other things you have to learn to do with them for them to be a therapy pet.
Good luck with pdoc tomorrow.
When I’m sad all I need to do is sit on the floor and my Mom’s dog, Doodles, will come sit in my lap or put his paws in my shoulder for a hug.
I definitely recommend an emotional support animal. I’d be so lost if I didn’t have my Annie. I can’t sleep without her on my bed.
And an esa can literally be any kind of animal. I used to keep pet rats. They are so smart! Mine knew there names and did tricks. I used to let them roam free in my room and if I lost them I just called their name or crinkles a bag and they come running! Though if you do get tats I’d recommend a same sex pair. They are easy to train but get a large cage made for rats or ferrets.
A cat could also be great. You don’t need to let them outside and they are great for cuddling!!
Let us know if and what you decide :)
I think you need to be stable for a good 6 months at least before you entertain this idea. It's not fair to bring an animal into chaos.
If you are looking for a new place though, yes I could see the land owner putting another applicant ahead.
