One of the reasons for studying the Bible in it's entirety and intimately is given by Paul in Ephesians 4:14 which to paraphrase is that "believers not be blown astray by every wind of doctrine".
Remember that Jesus said that few will find their way to the narrow gate and many others will fall astray and when they came to him in the end times saying :Lord Lord he would respond I never knew you. (Matthew 7;23) Anyways yeah Nag Hammadi is very interesting and used by both gnostics and I believe the Russian Orthodox Church. Cheers!
Oh...please !! Please ! Pretty please !!?

Again: I am not a Catholic. ;)
And Contrite, who's to say we cannot invent our own personal Jesus....Every Christian religion has re-invented him repeatedly to suit their own needs.
I feel as if my Jesus invention is probably much closer to the real thing. And no, I am not a Christian. A die-hard agnostic.

As for Jesus the Bible meaning the New Testament (and I use that term with contempt) is very rigid as to what and who Jesus is. It is also rigid that he is the only way to salvation and through the path of the "narrow gate" that "few will find".(Luke 13:23-30)
These ideas are further elucidated in the Paulian Epistles, basically Paul invented the Christian church and began them in:
ome, Corinth, Galatia, Ephesus, Colosse, Phillipi, and Thessalonika. If you go and read his epistles to each of them there is epic comedy as all manner of debauchery is taking place in each of them. Also if you want further comedy read the writings of the early church fathers; most of which were INSANE. Christian Apologists are very embarrassed by the book of Revelations because it lambasts those churches as abominations. So that particular faux pas when bastardizing that document is ignored in the hopes it is not used as a fairly convincing polemic of the random editing that text endured.
