Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

It is very tough to live in the modern world. It has me depressed. It's like there are too many laws.
I keep trying to get my car's registration renewed but they won't let me because my car keeps failing the emissions test. I didn't have the they said was broken replaced but that still didn't satisfy them. I can't afford a new car. Mechanics are expensive. I don't want to give up driving. I'm not saying that I am better than everyone else and is too good to ride the bus. Riding on buses have been a horrifying experience. When I rode the city bus in college, l had to deal with creeps, rude bus drivers and it took forever to get anywhere.
The school bus. Don't get me started. That was an experiment in terror.
Still working on getting a job so I'm having to take a bunch of tests to see where l fit.
My son is wimpy. He's scared of everything. This is one the reasons I can't get him to do anything.
I was born during the wrong time. I wish I was an adult in 70's. People looked like they had a lot of fun back then. I wanted to go disco dancing as a child.

I don't really know how to label this but I having a rough week and I can't say it's one thing.... I have a lot on my plate which is nothing new and I try to cope in many positive ways and do but I still have my moments. My kids more so my daughters talk to me about everything which I know it's cause of comfort and we are close.... however I really struggle with the venting about their dad which...

Emissions testing is very important, it's what keeps the gasses that we flood our atmosphere with from tearing a whole through the Ozone layer. Everyone has to do the same thing, I'm sure it feels like your being picked on, but your not. Can you cut back on all extra's and eat Ramen and PB&J sammiches for a few weeks until you save up the money to get the car fixed? Its usually an Oxygen Sensor or something not too major. Have you asked if they'll work out payment with you over a 30 day period of time?
Riding the bus for a short period of time won't kill you, its a bit different now days. The bus is full of grownups, unless you live in a Major University town like I do and then there are lots of Students. Most people spend their time on the bus reading the paper or catching up on homework, etc. They're not to big on bothering other people. You have to do what you have to do.
As for your son, so you realize how much it would hurt him to hear you talking about him poorly or calling him wimpy? We're supposed to uplift our children, not tear them down.... Have you ever considered getting him involved with Big Brothers of American so that he has a man to hang with and use as a role model? You'd be surprised how quick a smaller child can start to grow healthier when they have a man's positive attention.
Good luck with your car and your son.
Gentlest of support while you navigate the complications of your day. Real life do get messy.
