I'm the type of person that sacrifices for others a lot. I was brought up to believe that getting what you want was selfish. Also, parents were the supreme authority in the household and what the child wanted was secondary or last. We were to do as we were told or get punished. Purmission was to be asked for most things.
I have said before I was bullied all through school.
I've experienced a lot of loss in my life so I'm afraid of rejection. I automatically assume it because they don't like me. I used to be clingy by I stopped that. Now when I'm in a relationship(romantic or friend), I'm so afraid of being rejected.
I'm working on this but it's not easy. It's hard to develop a self esteem when it's been gone for so long.

I have a possible new diagnosis to discuss with my therapist tomorrow. It might be the answer to a question that I have had since I was 19. It's called Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria (RSD).
