Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

Ok, my dear friends. Rally around me here. The news is not good. I have fibromyalgia. Well, the good part is that it is treatable. But the bad part is that it is chronic, and I really did not need another big issue in my life right now.
Is anyone else out there dealing with this on top of their bipolar? How do you handle the pain and fatigue?
I joined the fibro support group and they are nice, but this is home for me. So any suggestions or knowledge on this topic would be appreciated.
Thanks, y'all.

Life has been really hard this past year. I'm really feeling down and alone. I can't talk to my family about my depression and anxiety their not very understanding about it. It's really hitting me since my mother passed a few months ago, plus stress from having to eventually move. Also having my niece coming around who suffers bipolar and refuses to take medication for it. Its been...

When i was in the ER February 16th 2025, i was being admitted to ICU where i was for 3 weeks, then had to relearn to walk for 3 weeks in another hospital rehab floor, the nurse told me something that made me feel for over 18 months now that i was finally *safe*. She told me that the guy who raped and beat me 21 years ago now almost 20 years at that time, was in prison as of a month before that...

So I guess my advice to keep you as comfortable as possible, not that it's a cure or anything, is make sure your minerals are balanced. It does make a world of difference. I'm sure other people will add what they know too.
Do you see a pain management doc? That has been my saving grace...a PM doc who will provide pain meds or muscle relaxants when I need them (I find Robaxin to be the best because it has is supposedly working on muscles and joints, tendons, things where they meet up in the body, at least that's what my Pain Management Doc said.). Also, I life-saver for me, getting Lidocaine injections at the trigger points. Mine last a month, absolutely no more pain in the area of the shot...for a whole month! I just recently started up with them, and I am so thankful, thrilled and relieved. That in turns lets me sleep better and not be as limited physically, which does my mood wonders! I have the pm doc and the pdoc always knowing what the other is doing. It all actually works out sometimes, LOL. Sorry if I've babbled here. Hope you can take away something from what I've said.
