I cannot tolerate AP's at all.....I get the more rare side effects from all of them and just simply cannot stay on them......the pdoc is wracking her brain trying to find SOMETHING I can take for the mood shifts, anger episodes, anxiety all of it........anyone have any ideas for me to shoot her way???
She mentioned lithium but that caused me to get really bad acne and gain weight like no tomorrow. I feel so screwed right now.....what else is out there??
I know about alot of meds with my nursing background but cannot think of anything else I can try.....am I just a lost cause here or what???

Hey all, i know its been quite awhile since i posted on here. Its been a summer all right. Its been something else........... You know how they say not to open the can of worms? Well a few months ago i decided to find out what my due date would have been for my first baby, the one conceived by r***. My baby would have been due on March 4th of 2006. They would be 20 years old. I was R**** on June...

I'm a med virgin -- on my first and only combo. So far it's working for me. Lithium, Celexa, Hydroxzyine Pamoate, Zoldepam & Trazadone.
You might give the Lithium another shot. My dad believed that one's body chemistry changes dramatically about every 7 years. He was a scientist and experienced a 7-year bout with staph and then it just disappeared.
I hope someone has a great suggestion for you!
an anti anxiety
talk therapy?
DBT?
I ended up on one of the old AP's however there may be a med or combo that he/she could suggest your doctor try..
Sorry you're going through such a struggle sweetie.. I honestly think a different type of med completely may help you more.. I know we've 'talked' about it..
Love and hugs for you..xo
I see pdoc in 3 weeks.....will ask her about the oldies. Thanks for all your responses! ox
there's another one but I will have to look it up
If you're still feeling that way..
The benadryl should help aleviate that.
I know it's a horrid feeling..
I used to get it a million yrs ago from the older APs.
Hugs..jc
I meant screw the Geodon......
It has weak AP properties.
i'm like you, tats, i cannot tolerate the AP side effects either. it sucks.
i hope you find something you can tolerate! xo
