I just started a new job on May7th. I was told on Friday (this past Friday) that I am not "doing a good enough job" and that if my performance doesn't improve by this coming Friday, I will be let go. I have been trying SO hard to learn this job. The guy who trained me on one part of the job is sooo impatient. He will stand there and look over my shoulder and tap his foot behind me. He jabs his finger at my computer screen and says "no, that's not right. what do you think you should do"?? And the other person who has been training me on another part of my job is such a b****ch. I was told that every time I ask her a ?, she calls and tattles on me, so my boss thinks that I am incompetent all the way around because that is what she is being told.
Another thing is that I ran into a coworker this weekend at the store and told her what is going on and she told me that I am the third person in this position that they have gone through in about 6 months!! She also told me that my job is being purposely sabotaged, just like the others. WTF??? I am so stressed out that I am having major anxiety and depression over it. I have bitten off my fingernail. I am very scared and troubled. I was laid off for three months before I got this job and was so excited about staring a new job and feeling useful again. And this happens? It is beyond sad and wrong. I feel like going to human resources and asking them if there is anything I can do. I mean surely they must be able to see the high turnover in this position. Obviously there is a common denominator, and it isn't me if I am the third one about to be jilted. Oh and another thing. I was told that I am not "allowed" to look up from my desk when someone walks by me and that I am not allowed to speak to anyone at all.. I feel like I am in prison. I wish i could die of a heart attack in my sleep.
I totally dread the week ahead.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

Please, TC, I hope that you can remove yourself from this environment soon... it's not good for you.
Good luck
How sad that the workplace is treating anyone like this but least of all you....
It's not worth it! If there is an ear at that workplace tell them what they are doing amounts to bullying and harassment . Only a matter of time before it all falls apart.
Be kind but bow out...and do it soon!
Sadie is right - you should try and document what's going on and, let go or not, pass on the info so the next poor soul who tries her best doesn't get dropped or treated terribly. Time for a new job AND/OR better working conditions you can count on! Big hugs!!!
I always hate having my hopes deflated...... I hope things work out for the best.

Things are just getting worse. I have been looking for work and have applied for a few jobs. I am so stressed that I pray for God to just take me. I feel like running my car into a tree every night when I leave work. I just come home and take xanax because I am so anxious. I am so upset that I just feel like crying. I am not a retard, I kept the same job for over 12 years and I am NOT stupid, but I am being treated like one. Today I felt like I was going to lose my sh%%% I am so depressed.
yes, I was soo excited about this job. I just feel so awful and disillusioned with life in general. I just want to cry. It isn't getting any better, just worse.
i am physically sick tonight, vomiting and severe anxiety. I emailed my boss today to get input on my progress and she said "how do you think it is going"?? I told her i thought it was going better. She said that she would check with the two douche bags who have been training me. I just cant help but feel like I am going to be let go. I am not sure if I even care anymore.
