So my dad told me this year that when he was 18 he got a girl pregnant and that he bailed on her once she told him and that I have an older half brother who would be close to 40 by now although I have no idea where or how to look since my dad has forgot her name and her sons and idk if I should even try to start looking for him I want to find out about him but at the same time I don't want to upset anyone for starting the search but I want answers too. Any ideas on what I should do ?

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

Big hug for you...xo
I have no idea how you would go about finding this person.
Since your dad can't remember her name will make it almost impossible to trace .
This info deff has an impact on your life.
But don't let it define you.
I found out when I was 18, that I had a 1/2 brother who was 2 years older than I was.
So I immediately went from oldest child to something other than the oldest.
It was a shock, because it upended my whole concept of my family and my Dad.
Anyway, I hope you can find some peace in this whole thing
I get you are worried you might upset others but maybe you might also be affected aversely.
You are both young - I'd wait until you are firmly decided before doing anything.
It has been very rewarding getting to know my sibs. I am particularly close to my youngest half-sister, who also has bipolar. I don't have any other siblings, biological or adopted. Anyway, it has been a very positive experience for me and for them too, and if you want to chat about it sometime, PM me.
