Yeah he said a few names of people he knew that knew her but idk if it would be worth looking I think my dad said he might have moved to Florida with his mom

He doesn't remember much tho he was doing a lot of drinking and partying with friends back then

I found out when I was 18, that I had a 1/2 brother who was 2 years older than I was.

So I immediately went from oldest child to something other than the oldest.

It was a shock, because it upended my whole concept of my family and my Dad.

I get you are worried you might upset others but maybe you might also be affected aversely.

You are both young - I'd wait until you are firmly decided before doing anything.

For me, I would wait. There are just too many unknowns and potential for upset. But I know that everyone is not like me. That is such a huge shock. I wonder, are you glad he told you?

I would be stunned. You are right to think people could be upset and uncomfortable. If you wait until your shock recedes, you'll feel more comfortable with how to proceed. It sounds like you may have more information than you now think.

I AM an unplanned-pregnancy-older-sister. I am less than a year older than my nearest half-sister. I was adopted as an infant and my biological father didn't even know about me until I was five years old. I have five half-siblings from him and we only just met up in the past year, although they knew about me from earlier on. (My closest sister and I are both 37.)

It has been very rewarding getting to know my sibs. I am particularly close to my youngest half-sister, who also has bipolar. I don't have any other siblings, biological or adopted.
