Sometimes I really need to vent, or need support. But I can't come onto DS b/c my fiance will read over my shoulder and then do 20 questions about what I'm writing. I try to talk to him without DS and he makes light of my problems. He says he understands, I try to tell him there's no way he can, but he still insists.
We're supposed to be married. Shouldn't I be able to talk to him about everything? Or at least be able to go to talk to someone who I 'Can' talk to about anything (ie: you guys)? This is so frustrating.

I find myself going places in the car and not wanting to get out of the car. I come back home and I don't want to get out of the car. I think it's the only time I spend reflecting. Chronic tiredness from Long Covid plus the immunosupressing meds for my Crohn's is slowing me down but everything just seems a massive effort. I am dealing with the paperwork following my father's death but it's not...

Wow, it's the middle of the week already!Today is our 11 year anniversary, so we're going out to a nice dinner. I'm losing a lot of sleep these days, hence a wonky schedule and uncomfortable feelings. But I know it will pass, eventually.I hope all of you have a peaceful day, and may good things come your way!

Also reassure him that your DS friends ,and the time you spend here ,is no threat to the love you have for him.
BUT you deserve some time and space of your own if you are going to have a sucessful relationship.
Does your instinct send up red flags???
if that is the case, you might consider this whole thing very unhealthy....
He has read my journal, over my shoulder while I'm writing. Esp. if he saw his name anywhere in my journal and he felt he was justified to speak about it if his name was in there. So now I only journal when he is not in the room....and if he walks into the room I automatically close the journal (without even finishing my sentence). So, he hasn't been reading my journal although I'm not sure if he would if he had the chance.
Our computers are right next to eachother. So while he 'could' be looking at his computer, he 'could' be looking at my DS stuff. He does ask me questions about whether I'm getting hit on, who I talk to, what do I talk about. No, my friends and BP. He makes it a point to tell me that I look pretty in a pic that I have up for my avi and then asks me if I'm getting hit on (also adds that "wow, that's an old pic" I don't know if it's an intentional dig at my self confidence)
Thanks for all your replies. I just don't know what to do...he's like a lawyer and thinks he can justify absolutely everything he does (including violating my privacy)
We all need to talk to people different people who are "experts" in some way. So you would tell your partner you are not ok but possibly look for empathy (rather than sympathy) here. Also you might get suggestion from here your partner cannot give.
Maybe as a problem solving male he feels threatened that DS gives the solutions he cannot? But then you could remind him that you need doctors also..and that is a similar situation.
On the boundary thing..if you need a space, be it DS or a journal then he should accept that.
