I am eligible for SSI right. I been waiting and waiting to get my money.
They ask
how much is your husbands 96 explorer worth? how much did he pay for it and when did he buy it?
How much does he pay a month on mortgage?
How much does his 401 K have in it?
How much is his life insurance policy worth?
His life insurance policy has no cash value so it will not count against me.
They count my child support even though dickhead deadbeat is not paying me a dime.
So My husband heard the lady say I might only be eligible for 30 dollars a month and that's because hubby works and is not disabled and makes a decent living
He treats me like shit.
He tells me I am worthless as a housewife
He tells me I am fat
He says the only way he will take me to my college formal is if I loose weight because dancing with an obese woman around thin college students is an embarrassment to society.
I only stay with him for my kids.
My daughter would be heartbroken if she lost him
He treats her good at least
But he treats me like shit.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). SSI is based on income and disability, if you are married they are going to count your husbands income too. SSDI is different and is based on what you've paid into SS.
I breezed past the income guidelines. The guy that did my interview told me we were nowhere near the cutoff point. Guess that's one good thing about my husband not making much $$$
What would I do with a husband that treated me like that? I wouldn't let a stranger treat me that way, so I would hope I wouldn't put up with it from my SO.
My parents fought all the time - but never to the degree of name calling like that - and thought they were mild around us kids - I was sooo grateful when they split up. So. Very. Grateful.
