SO triggered by noise

I can't stand noise.  I can't even stand listening to the radio in my car. I get angry when my neighbor makes ANY noise. I feel like screaming and smashing something against the wall. I Just feel awful and irritable.

I can't stand noise either. I do make allowances for the unintentional noises though. Car horns with stupid drivers really get to me. LOUD bugs me...like shouting and people on phones and 'grown-ups' who demand attention by being obnoxious...just for the helluvit.

I hate noise too. For instance going shopping, groceries or whatever. Many people in the store. Shopping carts clanging. Kids screaming in high pitch tones. Ugh. I do hate noise and have become sensitive in my older age. For food shopping, I like to go early in the morning. Before lots of people are there. Then I am relaxed. No crowds, I feel mellow and walk through the store at my leisure. I still like my music loud though at times.

My hearing impairment makes noise sensitive people frightening too me. My handicap makes me pretty clueless on what sets noise sensitives off and a triggered noise-sensitive all too often get noisy enough to penetrate my handicap. I can seldom understand their shouts well enough to be helpful. It is a genuinely frightening experience.

My light sensitivity is enough to offer some clues, though. An appliance LED is enough to set me off. The ever-brighter lights of the Light Ages plunge me into pure hell. I was once arrested for shooting hot bulbs with ice water. . . I still fight the urge sometimes. Yea, yea, I saw your light. 100,000 lumens of latest greatest, isn't it? Please go shine it in somebody else's eyes.

Gentle empathy, TC. Managing triggers ain't nothin' easy.

    I did the dumbest thing today.  I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds.  I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym.  What a dummy!
