I got a new attorney for my disability case and not sure I made the right decision. Then my car starts acting up and it's going to cost me money I don't have to fix it. My anxiety is so bad I'm going to lose my job. I'm in a panic and see no relief in site. I think I might be getting cut off of food stamps too. I feel like giving up entirely. I really can't take living like this.

You do what you think is best. If you don't think you can work anymore there is no shame in applying.

I have applied for disability and been turned down twice, Think I should have stayed with my old attorney but too late now. I don't see the judge approving me, this is my third time trying for it. They say it will be a year before it goes to court. I will have lost my job and my place to live by then. I can't stand the thought of being homeless but it looks like it's going to happen.

When did you get a car? LOL It could be a cheap repair, or a hose lose - and you don't know this attny sucks YET!!!!

I was turned down the first time for disability and my pdoc told me he could help me and he did. It had something to do with what he put down for my Dx a certain code or words he used and I got approved the second time. Talk to your pdoc about how bad it is and he can probably help you speed up the process. Don't give up!! They try to discourage you from getting it.

I'm proud of you for getting an attorney! Hopes and prayers are with you!

My doctor won't say I shouldn't be working, that is a major obstacle.

Gina - I got a car almost a year ago, it was a gift, but it's costing me so much in repairs and insurance I don't think I can keep it..

Hang in there. It often takes several attempts to get approved. Having an attorney is a great idea but it's a shame your pdoc won't say you can't work. Mine keeps threatening to make me quit, lol. Big hugs for you and hoping things get better.

Heretic, Can you find a new pdoc? That is just absurd that he won't help you when he knows how tough you got it. That was my whole key to getting it was bc of my pdoc. I don't know if you see one in a clinic based on income like I do (I just got lucky with him) or if you can hire another one. Your in my thoughts!!

I think your Pdoc is missing the mark. There's no room for economic prejudice in MI...too many people on the street because someone in authority has a problem with their tax dollars supporting anything other than their own interests.

Maybe your new lawyer can have a word with your Pdoc and straighten this out.

I completely agree that you might want to switch pdocs. Mine was key to getting my disability. Your pdoc should be your ally, not an obstacle. I really hope your attorney helps you.

Hang in there sounds so trite, but please do. We're here rooting for you.

    My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper?
