What is wrong with me? I am taking my meds and have gone through so many medication changes. I have been a wreck lately. I have been having these bouts of intense anger and rage. I start fights with my husband and I just feel angry in general. My emotions get out of control on me. Then I start getting paranoid that my roller coaster of emotions is pushing him away and then I start suspecting him of cheating or talking to other girls. I am finding it harder and harder to keep it together. I can't tell if I am manic or depressed or both. I cry. I get super angry over nothing. I am so frustrated with myself. I am looking for any coping mechanisms to help, that help any of you. I feel at my wits end and I do not know what the next step is for me. I am in therapy regularly (weekly), I go to group for an eating disorder that I have weekly(which I have fully relapsed into), and I keep getting these med adjustments. What is next?

I just started DBT again this past week. I wish I would have had it two months ago.
My pdoc told me that meds help with about 40 percent and we need to do other things to help ourselves..
There is a Beyond Medication group here that may be of help to you

hormonal imbalanced--see a doctor that specializes in this
Nutritional imbalance--I know you mentioned an eating disorder, so this is a duh, but should be considered. Magnesium is a very calming mineral for both body and mind. I need to take B supplements and/or make home-made green smoothies to feel well/stable. Consider consulting with a nutritionist before taking supplements. Green smoothies have helped my mood considerably and are natural as can be.
Thyroid...too much can really ramp you up. Been there done that myself. Again...see a doctor.
About DBT and having a good therapist, it saved my life. I'm not suicidal, blaming others all the time, angry constantly and out of control. I also need/needed therapy to deal with deeper issues as well. Of course you have to work it.
One last thing. Walk it off. Long walks. Burn energy before you start to feel out of control. Find a pool and swim if you can our water walk and exercise. It cools down the internal volcano and really, really helped me.
Much wisdom on your journey toward being whole.
((hugs))
