Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

So despite the fear I have of her rejection, I reached out to my mother for Mother's day. I wished her a happy one, and I sent her a letter I wrote to her while in treatment forgiving her, apologizing for my end of things, and most of all expressing how badly I want her back in my life.
I had a breakdown earlier today because of how much I wished I could have spent even just an hour with her today telling her thank you for my life. I'm doing a little better now, but now I am more scared than anything else because the message is just sitting there. I sent it via Facebook because I don't have her number anymore, and it hasn't been seen yet, let alone a response. What's gonna happen when she sees it?? I could use some support right about now...

So I have been having a lot of health issues and my cardiologist felt that he didn't get clear enough images of my heart in the office, so he wanted to do a Trans-esophegeal heart Echocardiocgram in the hospital. I was pretty nervous about it, because I've never had any procedures related to my heart or any other major organs. I've had knee surgery and thyroid surgery, but to me anything to do...

Love, Catherine
Update: She hasn't responded. There is a chance she hasn't seen it, but regardless, it's an outcome I can work with.
Thanks again, Jess
I have had a very difficult relationship with my mom. And that was not all because of me. They one thing I learned, was how I was NOT going to treat my children. I made sure I was available and put them first. They were all easy children, and we all have excellent relationships and trust. And that is in spite of me, and my bipolar!
So, perhaps that is a lesson to be learned? Of course, you may not have children, but you still can learn a lot about caring for people, and having better relationships. I think you are on the right road!
Update: She responded!! It was a positive response, and we were able to talk it out. She's waiting on having her phone service fixed, but once it is, she is calling me and we are catching up.
Next step is telling her I'm bipolar. She doesn't know. We'll see how it goes, but I'm continuing to think positive on this one.
I wish only the best for next steps.
