Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

zeinna I would talk with your doc about the dosage if you can't function.. Maybe lowering it a little would help..
I've found it helps me a great deal but have struggled with some of the same and have had the dose changed
Big hug for ya...xo
Although sometimes the sleepiness does go away after a while , I think the munchies stick around forever
Dosage and time of day that you take Seroquel are critical
Is taking it once a day -- right before bedtime -- an option?
Or is that what you're already doing and it STILL leaves you dragged out the rest of the time?
I'm prescribed Seroquel (Quetiapine) FOR sleep, and it's the one drug that's doing a great job of that for me, with only one unpleasant side effect -- the weight gain.
(The weight gain is a biggie, pun intended, but I really need that sleep.)
I feel just fine the next day, if you're talking 'grogginess' and/or feeling tired.
I'm sorry it's not working out better for you.
If it's having that deleterious impact on your schooling and quality of life in general -- I think the solution is going to be to work with your Pdoc and try to find a med that works better.
Good luck!! I hope things get better!!

So I can't say it didn't help my moods, but i couldn't take the weight gain after a while.
I would definitely talk to your dr about the dosages.
