I think I'm addicted. I can't sleep with out them. I'm so tired all day and while I lay down a lot I never actually sleep.
It's effecting my mood because now I'm real depressed. I thought about going to the hospital but I"m not suicidal so I know they will not take me.
I'm up to four pills now. That's bad I know but I can't sleep at night with out em. And I'm running out fast! I don't know what to do.
go ahead and scold me I deserve it!

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

But deff talk to your Pdoc about this issue
Good luck
you've beaten some brutal heavy drugs in the past, and you may need to do it again.
you've done the first step, which is to admit to yourself there's a problem. i give you much respect for that. now i think it's time to get the professional medical team involved. psychiatrist, GP, therapists etc.
good luck doorknob. i wish you all the success in the world.
Obviously, your sleeping meds are not working. Maybe there is another kind that would work well for you. Please see your doctor. It's not a very good life when you are sleepy all the time.
Hoping you get it worked out soon, doorknob.
((((BIG HUG)))))
not being able to sleep, AND not feeling rested are two horrible states to deal with.... We build up tolerances, that doesn't always scream addiction... maybe a different one would act well, and you would need to double or triple up.... Wishing you peace and comfort ASAP!
Then he or she can start weaning you off and maybe doing other tweaks.
I guess how you are weaned will depend on what kind of pills you are abusing.
If you think we should scold you, you may be dreading the Pdoc scolding you, too.
Try not too dread it too much, even though you may get a 'lecture'.
It will probably consist of information about why it's very unwise to be taking what you are the way you are, rather than telling you that you are 'bad' for doing it.
And maybe you also need to get some kind of therapy, if you are the 'addictive' type and prone to misusing meds.
Good luck.
It's good that you see that what you're doing is not 'okay'.
Now you can start taking steps to make things go in the right direction!!
I take sleeping pills as well but I never increase the dose however I do take Seroquel at night along with them and I sleep well with the combo
If I were you I'd see if you can get an appt soon.. you don't want to just run out.. Maybe he'll put you on a combo to help you to sleep
The main reason I'm on Seroquel is for just that reason
Good news is .. No one ever died from lack of sleep. Try to get some excresize during the day. Lay off caffine

I agree with the others........call you doc, be honest, and try to get away from the night meds so you can find a better solution.
xo
other than that cant add to the great advice given here
What drugs do you take? For sleep that is.
