Self Medication

Mountain Dew 6-10 liters a day; Cigarettes 1.5 - 2 packs a day; chocolate; cookies...All to make me feel a little higher or sleepier depending on what I want to do next. I have it down to a science.

Any one else self medicate heavily like this?

That much caffeine is close to toxicity levels! And very bad for you, especially if you have any anxiety issues at all?

yess......its a matter of fact, I do the exact same thing as you do. But I drink more mountain dew and smoke less cigs.....

just on the smoking..and i dont take my meds for bp1,,just 2.5 mgs xanax

I just quit chewing tobacco but still like diet pepsi and do drink a little beer. Shame on me.............

my pdoc wants me to quit the smoking and has upped my valium to help cause I want to as well but there is just something about giving up the control. And its Diet Dew for over 10 years now.

My last Pdoc didn't have a problem with me taking valium but the one I have now is against it because its addictive. Why is it when something works they won't give it too you.

I believe I am a bit of the poor man's celeb knockoff.................... caffeine, or, ativan (yummers... lots of it), beer, smokes, chocolate, loud tunes on the stereo, a long, fast cruise down the Interstate, mind-numbing television.......................... it's all good, right...

oh yeah forgot about the loud ass tunes. always have my stereo as loud as it can possibly go.

hmm no wonder im half deaf. music just doesnt sound good unless most of the neighbor's can hear it.

guess that would explain the cop's being called on me a few times for it. like i care.

2-5 cups of coffee a day. sugar to reawake after a crash. then there's the occaisional mixed drink, wine etc

1 -1.5 packs of smokes a day. 1 liter of diet coke, a glass of kool aid in the morning(sugar free), 3 cups of coffee and a little bit of water, occasional glass of pinot grigio.

Pack of cigarettes a day, 1 full pot of coffee from 6:00 am to 11:00 am.
No alcohol but I have been doing one tokes at night on a joint and really like how it makes me feel. Calms the storm in my head.

just weed ... and very infrequently. I think probably less than 10 times a year. I quit cafeinne years ago on the advise of my pdoc and quit smoking cigs 4 weeks ago thanks to an ambulance ride to the hospital with a severe bronchial infection.
