Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
Don't let this go, it wont just go away. If it happened this time, it can happen again. Please think of your children if you cannot think of yourself. xo

I always said no way if my guy hits me I am so done.. wont be my life.. yet here years later my "Prince" is going nuts and hitting me. I've never cheated on him or hit him so it hurts for this to happen. Dang I am just so lost here...
Hope everything works out for you.
Can you talk him into calling his pdoc now? If his behavior continue, you will have to call the police for you and your children's safelty. It is also for his own safety. xo
hitting is not OK. it's just NOT, there is no excuse. take care of yourself and your kids. i'm so sorry to hear that you are living in such (justifiable) fear.
This is not about bipolar at all. It is about abuse. There is also an physical and emotional abuse forum. You might want to talk to the people there.
Please call the police. I let my husband hit me hard, I didn't know the police could arrest him, and it would stop. my husband had never touched me the first 5 years of our marriage. It took 10 more years of physcial abuse before I finally called the police. They arrested him, but he was nice, and I took him back. It took another 10 years before the nightmare ended. We are together again, because I took a group course on abuse, and learned how to end the cycle of abuse. I'm sorry, this will just keep going, if you don't stop it now.
It is called the cycle of abuse. It is not YOUR fault. You did not have a "poor choice of words." That is always what the abuser says. Please get help. This is not good for your children. They are abused by witnessing or hearing this kind of abuse. Like I said, it is not about bipolar. I have never hit anyone or hurt anyone in my life. It is a control issue. Not medication either. Sorry to be so blunt.
