Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

well DS is a good place to talk and vent. So anything you want to talk about at all?
Aw, BP depression levels. mine has diffrent levels.I refer to mine as diffrent shades of gray. The weather seems to also have an effect on mine, as with shorter days n decress in out door activitys.I so dislike winter.
I don't care what others might say, I believe that moon also has an effect on us.
I live w daily depression thats just part of my BP. when gray reaches a certain level. I gather mag./books n fill a cooler n make up sofa n add extry pillows on my bed n stock uo the apt size refg that I use as an end table in my bd rm.n I obtain a veg party tray from deli n frozen single serveing, micowave, meals.I make myself go n have my hair n nails done, then I take a long n good bath & then shower off n put on my pj that have footys built in n I go from bed to sofa n bk n forth.
somewhere during this I let my dear & closest freinds know that I won't be answering the phone n my e mail replys might be late. They already know what I'm talking about n what they r to do n not do. I simply ride out the temporary wave. Most of people that I know, I don't share my medical record with. so my daily support buddy n woman that work for in home care service runs interfearance for me.
Know that you are not alone, we so understand n we are here for you n we are your freinds.
I'm sending you a bg bear hug, the kind that lefts you up on your tip toes kind of hug w a few extry hugs
Sending you lots of love.
Exercise is always good for just about anything, but if it's really bad, you could look at alternative meds.
My meds. sometimes make me feel like I have no brain or anything. We have all been there before I'm sure. I even poured orange juice on my cereal this morning because my meds. made me so tired!! Just gotta laugh at myself really.
Hope you're having a better day today.
I'm just a bit different with meds than I was before diagnosis. I don't shoot out of bed like a lightning bolt after 2-3 hours sleep and think I can finish a week's worth of chores in 2 hours. :)
I've been on my med combo for about a year now. I've noticed changes (and improvements) all along the way. Stupid? No, I don't think so. I find myself not too interested in reading books but then I never was a reader (couldn't sit still.)
I've noticed I don't instantly recall every detail of my entire life like I used to. That's ok .... actually quite a relief. If I want or need to remember something sometimes it takes a little bit. I've noticed that if I'm trying to remember the name of some long lost teacher, acquaintance or other person sometimes I visualize the first letter of their name. That is kinda weird .... but hey, whatever works.
Sending you a little sunshine today!
I hope you feel better soon.
