If you know me, you know I have a relationship with Murphy (ya know...Murphy and his law).

Murphy thought I was making out too good by getting healthcare, so he took it away and now I'm without insurance...and in the very near future, no meds.

I'm rolling with it though. Here's a period of time that I'm going to attempt going med free... not that I think it's the best idea, but I'm headed into it hoping.

Anyone else gettin' it on with Murphy lately?

Murpheys Law always affect me. For one when I see your beautiful Avatar, I have a deep yearning for chocolate. But I don't have any. Ahhhhhhhhhhh!

Medicaid just cut me b/c my disability is above income limits. I have some people searching for pharmeceutical companies that would sponsor me, but it'll take weeks and I don't have the $1200 to lay out for the next month's meds, so I'll try out no meds and hopefully something will come thru...either I'll be ok w/ no meds, or I'll be able to get meds.

Hmm sorry to hear this it sucks the state. I think going with no meds is a bad idea though can't you go into the hospital for a few days so you can get them ? How could you be over the limit ? do you work or are you on ssi i am on ssi i don't work and they can't say shit to me they give me what they give me so they can't give me to much cause they know i need medicaid i mean dam i am glad i never had this problem with medicaid thank god knock on wood

Unfortunately I've just started applying for SSI. I don't get the medicare for at least 6 months...and that's if i'm approved first time around.

Luckily I can still keep Medicaid for my kids though.

Well good luck i was a mental health advocate and i just want to tell you you usually get denied the first time for ssi but do it again you get approved the second time ok and if you need to talk to me i am here : )

i got denied twice when i applied once 9 years ago and then again a year ago now i hired an attorney for my appeal and he is suprisingly cheap and is handeling everything real well. He has an 87% success rate and is real sure I can get the benifits.

I don't recommend you go med free. Go to HEB or walmart get the $5 drug list take it to your pdoc and get on meds that are affordable. It may keep you from having a episode and destroying your life.

Here's a way to get your meds if you havent tried already....I have got my free through this organization when I didnt have any insurance.
