Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
This is the second time I'm posting this so I hope that it shows up
Where are you today?.... Can you say a tad about yourself and how you are doing?
I'm Jan and I'm in Toronto just east of the downtown core.... Nice little neighbourhood... I really like where I live... It's close to everything...
It's about zero today although it feels as though it's colder... I am looking forward to Spring
My sinus's have been acting up for a couple of months so that's the pits but otherwise I'm doing well
2020 has been pretty good thus far and for that I am thankful
How're you doing??.... Sending out big squishy hugs....xo

Here is my new brother, copper :) He's so tiny! Moo and Tuck were ok with him on first meeting. Rocket due to his severe aggression will never meet Cooper.

I am a single mom of twin boys not a year old yet so that keeps me on my toes. I spend most of my time on a dairy farm along with orange orchard. Lots of cows, goats horses , chickens and everything else not to mention all the dogs. I love the country living and my babies love love the farm. I have been working here for awhile before that I have a bachelors in nursing thinking about getting my masters in nursing or go to vet school. I get a lot of practice around here. I am just not sure mentally or physically I can handle it anymore.
Anyways namaste to all Pema
I've been BiPolar for 30 years, and have been on DS since 2008.
Its in the low 30's at this point in the today, I stayed home from the office today because Winter cold tends to make my severe Pain issues from Chronic/Genetic Medical Issues worse and it's been BBBRRRRRR cold this week.
2020 hasn't been too bad, so far had to buy a new car, which I love, my sweet kitty Rambo has been testing the limits a bit..but hey she's a cat. And I work in Finance & Accounting so the beginning of the year is always busy and a little nuts.
Looking forward to a good year!!!
Hi All!
I get to play with my cricut tonight to decorate some of mom’s binders for school. Relaxing rest of the day
Glad you're doing well- other than sinuses. That's no fun. I live in Rogers, Ar. The place where Walmart began. This time last year- I would've said I hated it here, but now that I see the horror happening in all of the once great cities of the U.S. that I used to want to visit/move to- I'm happier here. Thanks to these districts failing to maintain civility in their cities- my eyes have truly been opened to how good I have it here. I can go for long walks alone- which are vital for my sanity- and I can remain worry free. I'm doing well today. I actually slept last night, and had incredibly beautiful, confusing, vivid dreams which kept me in bed till 11am- which is amazing cause I haven't been sleeping. I always have to finish my dreams/nightmares. I'm a writer, so I never know what inspiration my dreams will provide. So I am in a great mood today. Over the weekend- different story. I had to sever ties with a friend because of stress, lies and manipulation that I couldn't handle anymore. I'm not a crisis hotline. lol. I am working on my master's degree through SNHU. It's hard work! I just started my third out of 12 classes. I have maintained a 4.0 GPA. My major is English and Creative Writing with an emphasis on Screenwriting. I was a theatre undergrad at the University of Arkansas.
Like you, I live close to everything in my town. At least everything I need. I am right in between the two main hospitals here which allows for short ambulance rides there, and short walks home- lol. Life, right? It can get crazy at times. But today is pretty low key. I'm in a good mood- which will change when I watch the news later, but I'll avoid getting on here when I return to my usual low state.
Thanks for checking in on us, Jan! That's so sweet of you! I wish I lived in Canada! I'm sure you've seen how the states have been politically, so you know why I'd rather be there where it's zero- but feels like less- than here where it's almost 40. I can't wait for Spring, too! All of the seasons in the Ozarks are gorgeous- no matter what. I'm so glad to here you're happy in Toronto, because my parents usually take one big trip a year, and last year they fell in love with Victoria, Canada, so this year, they're heading your way to Toronto!!! I'm so happy they are going to get to go, cause I live with them- lol!!!
Hugs and blessings to you, too! Thank you for always caring about the group members. You have a big heart- that is evident, and appreciated!!!

Woot Kisses..... You Go Girl..... We had no doubt that you were going to pass with flying colours.... That's wonderful news!!!.... Big hug.....xo
I love a great sleep as well.... Good for you working on your MA..... I can only imagine it would be a great deal of work..... That's wonderful and what a brilliant future it can pave for you
It's nice that your folks like Canada...… We have our political BS as well... I don't think anywhere escapes it.... Maybe your dreams.... Big hug.....xo
I live in a big city and am interested in city mental health as well, and all of the many layers and complexities that surround us and affect us more than I think people realize. It’s been wonderful to see progress and erasing of stigma on many fronts since I’ve been here dealing with my own diagnosis in 2003.
I hope you’re all doing alright! Nice to hear from everyone!
I hope that your business will to great Deck.... You are so very talented.....xo
