I should start doing TL;DR summaries at the beginning or end of my posts, lol. (TL;DR= Too Long; Didn't Read)
TL;DR- I'm irritated with people who can't get to the point. You too maybe?
Now.
I feel like such a shallow ass, lol. Which is an odd deviation from my usual personality. Or rather, more of a magnification of the shittiest part of my usual "at best" personality- one that takes quick temperament and irritability to a whole 'nother level.
You ever get that?
Well anyways I was watching this one episode of South Park where the goth kids were infuriated about Hot Topic making kids at the school buy vampire-themed shit and act like vampires, which is hysterical to me because of my high school days,
And then my mum comes in like, "So I see you opened (a food item), Iiiiiiiii bought it because it was on sale (SHE ALWAYS RAMBLES ABOUT GODDAMN COUPONS even though that's understandable) for a dollllllarrrrrrr, annnnnd, (Southern drawl drags sentences way the fuck out, for those unfamiliar with Southern American accents of varying subtlety) it looks like you tried it, do you like it? Becaaaaaause if you dooooo, I can get a few more, becauuuse they have them on BoGo (translation: "Buy One, Get One") at Publix until next week,"
And I was like, "Yeah yeah, shhh, sorry, I'm watching this. I'll let you know in a minute."
Then at the commercial I went in to tell her, "Yes, I do, I told you earlier this morning." which turned into this monstrosity of a drawn-out, completely unnecessary argument-
"Ok well, I was half-asleep! So I didn't remember! It's not my fault! Sheesh!"
"Well.... I just woke up.... I'd prefer if you waited until I'm up for a while before you bombard me, asking me to tell you yay/nay on products you buy..."
(SHE ALWAYS DOES THIS AND IT'S LIKE BEING INTERRUPTED AT VARIOUS TIMES OF DAY TO REVIEW PRODUCTS, LIKE I'M A FREE CONSUMER REVIEWER OR SOME BULLSHIT, even though she gets this stuff for me/us, so I really shouldn't feel that way, but I do......)
"You tell me things when I'm barely awake! So.... are you saying it's okay for you to do it, but not everybody else?"
(Jfc, I wasn't trying to turn this into an ethics debate....)
"(continues) It feels like, it doesn't matter what I say, or when, you never want to talk to me, you're always so short and grouchy"
DO YOU SEE WHY I AM ANNOYED?
DO YOU SEE WHY I TALK AT LENGTH? WHERE I GET THAT FROM?
Like I know I'm being a bratty, catty asshole and rude as fuck for not wanting to talk, but I just don't! I just don't give a shit what you bought, or where, or when, or the ~cool~ deal you got with your coupons you so carefully cut and clip and collect and organize and obsess about.
Even though I know it's out of economic necessity, and some day I'll probably do the same thing.
When we're doing 'better' I call her a 'coupon nerd' and she thinks it's hysterical how I say and think that, and we joke about it, and there's banter, but not in the middle of scuffles like that, she thinks I'm being disrespectful.
I know I am, too. No denial there. But I can't help how it registers in my brain. It takes SO MUCH EFFORT for me to be cordial and inviting conversationally, especially when I'm preoccupied, either in my own thoughts, or something I'm doing.
I guess right now I really just am a tired, burnt-out, antisocial asshole.
But is it my fault? I don't think so. But I don't know, or care either. I don't CLAIM to be some sweet, lovable fuck who wants to sit there and exchange friendly anecdotes with you first thing in the morning in a "It's the little things in life!~ Lol!" fashion, I AM DEPRESSED AND NOT RLLY THAT MUCH OF A 'MORNING PERSON' IN THE FIRST PLACE.
Also I live with her so my tolerance for annoyance with her is extremely low.
The only time I ever was extremely sociable and talkative in the morningtime is when I was on Suboxone.
I'm sorry you like me better chemically-altered than not. (Just venting and feeling sorry for myself right now, honestly, but I'm done. I made it quick.)
And it's been a long time since I've consistently BEEN LIKE THAT.
I GUESS IT'S JUST A PET PEEVE I HAVE, even though I do it too (and will be the first to admit so!), when people draaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaag out sentences WAY longer than they need to be, and it's extremely common in Southern areas of the United States, even though I was born here, raised here, and not used to a different way of life, it irritates the shit out of me. Like.
The example I posted above, could've been shortened to, (instead of mentioning where the item was bought, why, how it made you feel to buy it, when, how long it's been sitting in the cabinet, and when I tried it)
"Hey I noticed you tried ______, did you like it?"
"Yes I did."
"Alright." *walks off*
IS THAT SO HARD? AM I REALLY SO RUDE FOR POINTING OUT THAT THERE'S A BETTER, MORE LINGUISTICALLY EFFICIENT WAY YOU COULD'VE WORDED THAT?
!!!! I cannot tolerate this irritation. At all. I feel like a piece of rotting shit that's been baking in the summer sun on the sidewalk for always popping off at the mouth, mum feels rejected because she's annoying to me, it's a lose-lose.
I texted my friend 3 days ago about a situation to where I'd move in with her/them and do certain typesa work to contribute to rent, she hasn't texted me back, I'm worried I offended her with my proposition, that it seemed, Idk, invasive or selfish.
But do any of you get annoyed with people who can't just ever get to the damned point????????? (even me? Hahahahaha. I'd be sympathetic.)

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

Meanwhile, this is Cathartic for you; releases pent-up frustrations from conversations with your Mother :O
MaryAnne- Same.
I quit posting my actual thoughts on facebook. My facebook is solely for shitposts and memes. I don't actually usually write out my thoughts anymore.
Sort of, I guess. Idk. Same shit, new day ya know?
You don't have to be some goody fucking two shoes to indulge your mom in you listening to her what sounds like a necessity but a passion for couponing. One day when you are on your own perhaps you will ask your mom tips for getting by better.
I totally understand that you need to vent bc I get that.I just have to remember for the most part that I am a "Free" consumer. And I drag the fuck out of a sentence too.Tried to be different but decided it is who I am.
I'm not trying to be a smart-ass it's just what I do when I myself feel the tension building with my parents is to STOP and THINK of what I am grateful for and where I would be without them.
