Problems with the Hubby

So my daughter's father paid me sixty dollars the other day.
And I got 87 dollars from my training through ovr. And the hubby
is making me spend most of my money on groceries. I have to spend fifty of that money on a savings account on my daughter because my friend wants me to set up a savings account for my daughter so that she can start putting money into it so she can force her to save for things when she gets older. That only leaves me 37 dollars to spend on Christmas for my daughter and I haven't really gotten her much of anything. I only got her two game cube games and one controller because her controllers are broken and that's why she hasn't been playing her gamecube. I am upset with the hubby. I wish I could keep the money that I get from her father as a secret, but he makes me tell him about any money that I get. Hubby agreed that I could spend that 60 on Christmas and now he's taking it back and telling me that I am not allowed to. I am upset. What would you do?

princess hun the savings account will see her through college etc so its such a great idea l had one too and it was a life saver.

l'm unsure how old your daughter is but hers how whats left cn go a long way ebay sme gifts they don't all hve to be 2nd hand to be a bargain either...just a thought if you really need groceries, especially as some frozen met could be for the christms holiday...buy your turkey now!!

I am not sure if we are getting one this year but we usually get a free ham from the hubby's work for Christmas and a free turkey for Thanksgiving. Being that the economy is now the way it is and lots of people got laid off and I am not sure if we are going to get any free food this year so I can't plan that far ahead yet.

Well, I am not in your situation so it is difficult to say what I would do. However, I see any money you get for your daughter from her father as "support" for her which would include feeding her, clothing her, educating her etc. Is it possible that your budget is tight right now and hubby NEEDS you to use the money for groceries?

if it were me in your shoes i would be saying to hubby stop telling me what to do, sorry if that sounded blunt bipolar but i cant stand bullying like that xx

Yes our budget is tight and hubby said he will have money for Christmas but that means I must buy with it what he says I can buy since it is his money and I wouldn't be allowed to spend the holiday money and buy what I want to get her for Christmas and would be dependent upon him and I hate having to be dependent upon him as it is because he's really strict when it comes to gift giving.

I would stop whining and spend it on the things that were necessary. Or tell your hubby to fuck off and spend it how you want....

Ok, so your daugher's daddy is not the same man as your husband, correct.
Then the money he gives you (daddy not hubby) is for his daugher. I'd stick to my guns in this case. What's hers is hers.
