The link isn't working... Sounds nasty though... I just stay away from some of them completely.. Some people seem to want to fight.. not me!..x

yes the link is no longer there, it was about the importance of stopping to see beauty of art and nature, something people don't do anymore bla bla bla. As a bipolar you notice everything and feel it on a whole other level, the price is loss of a normal life. You walk down the road see a violinist playing, IRL you don't have to stop and appreciate it just because someone is playing something nice. Real life responsibilities are just a little bit more important than spending time listening to this guy while my son is waiting for me to pick him from school... for example.
I was being the devil's advocate on the idea, and honestly envy those with a normal life, so much better than getting screwed so much no?

I think it's being a bit rough, not all BP'ers have a "not normal" life just because we have BP. I enjoy going out to see concerts. I raise hybrid roses and plant them all around the front of may house, and make it a point of stopping to smell them, because they smell awesome, when I leave for work in the morning and when I come home in the afternoon. I don't think it's fair to generalize BP'ers as not having time to enjoy some things in life just because we're busy taking care of kids and life and work and families...ummm...regular people have all these responsibilities also.

Bipolar and add/ADHD types are like that. Sounds like you aren't mad anymore.

The ad sounded like it was saying,"see, made ya look.". I can't take a person like that seriously. (don't be mad). And lots of ppl probably would have watched (of every kind of disposition). The ad sounded like it was from NY and if so ppl do anything just to be noticed.

I understand what you are saying. And I get very angry too (although not as much anymore). I have a family but I had to quit my job as a teacher 6 years ago because I could not take the stress of work + family + BP. I was angry at the world for the longest time and I still am sometimes. BP stops me from living my life the way I want sometimes but I do make it a point to stop and look at the rainbows or listen to the violins... It helps give me the impression that I am normal... but BP is not the only disorder or disease that tend to keep us away from life... Sometimes we have to make an effort to get back to life... not always easy but doable. I hope your life gets better and you can find the time and energy to do some of the things you enjoy in life.

I generally get pissed just on principle, if nothing else, when having bipolar is categorized, objectified, stigmatized or glorified in social media, movies or the press.

I'm bipolar, so I don't need to have a reason for _____________.

I have an excuse for _______________.

Hey nothing is for everyone except of course basic surivival needs. Heck there isn't much everyone can relate too. Personally I am on Facebook. My observation there seems to be an awful lot of these "cute" sayings posters going down.
