It isn't here in the US yet but I'm sure it will be someday. I'm so glad I'm out of the drug world but if I would have been in it for a few more years this could have happened to me or any one of my friends.
It turns skin green and scaly and eventually kills you. They estimate the average krokodil user dies with in 3 years.
I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy! And I think of my EX who is likely still using. If this comes here he's sure to use it. I'm sorry I said I wished him dead. This is a horrible way to die.

maybe I shouldn't worry about it but being an ex drug addict I know how drug addicts think. They don't care about the consequences they just care about getting high. Even if it means a gruesome death.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.
When it comes down to it, I always used to worry when somebody bought me a drink 'cause you never know what's in it.
I'm glad I managed to put the drugs and alcohol behind me.
That made me sad I love the real vanilla not imitation.
i am so glad i am over doing things in excess and will only have one or two drinks once in a while- aside from the gin i'm apparently allergic to.. i'm doing really well.
i never ever did anything that intense and never wanted to.
the worst was about seven separate uses of cocaine, molly/mdma/extacy two or three times, roofies one time (very stupid), opiates or benzos for recreational use- very few times, and shrooms i did with no problem a handful of times (very cautiously and had a great time and then one time almost od'd.)
then alcohol and marijuana, of course... used to the extremes.
the extreme drugs are scary and would never touch them.
i forget, but there are several new ones kids have been using, it's really sad.
also cough syrup, mostly because i was trying to self medicate for bp but didn't know what i had... couldn't sleep, etc.
This drug is a cheap substitute for heroin that's why I say my ex would be doomed. He is also a needle user. I never used a needle as I hate them.
It still terrifies me to think a drug like this exists and people still use it.
in the world of a drug addict drugs slowly become the most important thing in your life and eventually the only thing in your life.
I know this is random but they wouldn't even let us have caffeinated coffee in rehab. And I LOVE COFFEE! yet we were allowed to smoke cigarettes. go figure.
scary stuff indeed. anything `needle' scares me green.
i'm glad you never used needles and that you got clean.
Once you are a needle user though you use that needle for every thing, coke crack yes that's right crack, anything that dissolves in water you can shoot it.
It appears the answer would be if opiates are prescription only in the US - they are freely available in Russia so it is easy for people to cook up their own.
Not sure how easy it would be to do in the UK
Thankfully I have been clean for years now and drugs scare me quite a bit. But these new drugs make crystal meth look tame. Who wants to use a drug that makes your skin rot off? Unfortunately addicts deep in their addiction would.
I realize that fox wasn't probably the best link up, but the story is real enough. I first saw it on a youtube video, but I thought it was a bit graphic to post here. It's all over the web so look it up if fox news is too unreliable.
I don't know if it will come to the US or not, since our codeine is much harder to get and not nearly as cheap. But then stranger things have happened.
