Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

What happens when you're phone buddies with someone and you know they need support and they keep telling you no, I'm fine and push you away and isolate when they need you the most. I used to be all for this phone buddy idea but now I have mixed feelings about it all. I feel so helpless. There Must be something more I can do....something, anything??

If the work issues were not enough, I have so many health issues. It looks like I may have a heart problem. I'm scheduled to go in the operating room at the end of the month to determine once and for all if I have what is called a PFO-a small hole in the heart that you are born with that causes blood clots to pass through the left and right atria, and go up to the brain. They think this is what...

One thing I'll say though is that my phone buddies and I have exchanged addresses---we realized that if there really was a situation (such as what is going on with FIlio in the Crisis room right now), a phone buddy would need the address.
We with bipolar understand it only too well
You have let your buddy know you are there for them and now I would let them have their space.
If you feel there is a crisis thats something different altogether and you could pass on their number to authorities but unless you fear for their life I would let them be for now
You are a caring friend and you could let them know you are there for them if and when they want to talk
Bless you both
what I thought phone buddies where there for. I know you can't force help on anyone. But I want to help.
You let him/her know you are there for them
