You ARE NOT WRONG. This guy sounds like an issue and your husband needs to respect your feelings. I hate it when others blame my Bipolar for certain things. You aren't wrong and I think he should kick his son out but that's just me. I am not a parent but the dude is old enough to be working and contributing. Definitely talk to your husband and hopefully he will see things more clearly. He must have a blind spot where his son is concerned. That's what it sounds like. Good luck.

You are not wrong. Get him the hell out of there. It is not healthy for you. Just because we are bipolar, doesn't mean we can let people walk all over us. They use that against us when we are being rational. I usually know the difference between rational and emotional. We just happen to be more sensitive to the emotional side.

And Sam, most men are BLIND! My husband sure as hell is and he has placed me in very fragile frame of mind. I'm exhausted.

Lost, you put your foot down and get him the hell out of there before you get sicker. We often let others convince us what we should do to fit their needs. We have to look out for ourselves because no one else will.

You are right! No normal/non-BP person will put up with this, so you and hubby work together to get junior out of the house.

I can't stand how others blame bp for the reasons of all of our emotions. We can't just be sad to be sad about something, or be ticked off or agrivated just for a good logical reason. I get that thrown in my face by my partner all the time. Blames that and uses the bp card for anytime we get into an arugment.. It's totally bullshit. It's an easy target and it's wrong. I wonder is there any partners out there that are supportive towards this illness.

Hi disturbed420 my husband would probaberly not agree with the bp disorder he finds it difficult to understand, which is fair enough because i dont tell him whats going on in my head an he leaves me to deal with it if i cant get myself started thats the only thing i can say. But not understanding the disorder or not trying to understand it is hard for the person who is going through it, and we all need a little help. what kind of support do you try with your partner, just so i can incourage my husband a little because he wont do this he also refuses to go to any counciling. It is wrong to just use this disorder as an excuse but at the same time it is also difficult to live with its also scary to. hope this makes sence and is usefull, it might be worded wrong and all sound like billshit, but it made sence to me at time. sorry if i have affended you this was not ment.

My mother is in a similiar situation, he has no job and living or should I say parting off his father. I think this has nothing to be with bp and everything to do with GROW UP KID! Tentions can always run high when you deal with others kids no matter the age. Tip toe lighting and express your feelings but their may be a time to where you can no longer get involved.
