Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

Hugs
Perhaps therapy might help you, it did for me. I'm talking about weekly therapy where you learn how to change your lifestyle and reactions to situations.
There is hope.
As for the mental issue, the best way to handle that is to manage it, see a therapist, be treated by a Psychiatrist for proper medications. BiPolar can be managed.
The weight issue can be managed also. Eat meals with your kids and make healthy meals. Start hanging outside with your kids more. Take them to the park to play, go on walks with them. Play ball in the yard. Spending time with them and being active will help you lose weight and also bolster your relationship with them. You can also replace the time you'd spend gambling with time spent with your kids.
None of this will be easy, but it can be done, you can do it. Kids have a way of making you feel better about yourself just by spending time with them. A good Therapist can also teach you the tools and coping skills you need to learn how to handle these things and help you get things under control.
Take care,
