It's so odd, the seemingly innocent things that can set us off!!!!
Here's hoping you don't come across too many triggers!!! (((((Hugs)))))
Just before I came to this thread it kind of hit me like that again. Uugggghhhh. I need to eat and sleep, but now I don't feel like doing either one.
What did help me was thinking of those memories as stains on the carpet or wall and meditating on ways to walk past those stains without paralysis.
Neither do crime drama shows...now the Newspaper or TV News , can really set me off.
Also weird things ,like driving on bumpy pot holed roads..that can trigger panic in me
But of course I fail and do get embroiled. But I am getting better at stopping myself, as someone said, before posting and saying NO Wendy - and having the rigour to completely delete my intended post. And it's also about Instant Gratification. So those triggers about controversy are going to be aorund for as long as I live in online and real life, so it's my responsibility to have that circuit breaker and stop myself getting involved in things that are detrimental to me.
