So I caught my daughters cold tuesday night and hadn't bathed since tuesday. I reak and now I am starting to pack on the pounds from not exercising due to sickness. Well took generic nyquill for two days not supposed to have it because it interacts with my meds but i am still alive after taking it so it must not interact that much. Anyhow the nyquill finally stopped working and nothing seems to be improving......I think I might have a sinus infection. Feel pretty bad the only thing I been doing is keeping up with the chores. and going to class thank god this coming week is spring break and I can catch up on my reading and that's all I will have to do since my chores are caught up. Should I or should I not see the GP? Talked to the mother in law and she said don't go to the doctor. To ride it out....what should I do? I feel like shit.

Sorry you're feeling bad. I would go to the doctor. Take a shower, too. It will make you feel better.

If you are feeling worse, yes, I would go see the doc. Usually a cold can linger around for a week or so. But it can turn into something worse, so it might be best to nip-it-in-the bud before it progresses into bronchitis or sinus infection.

My mom is just getting over the same thing. She was put on an antibiotic zpac and was taking over the counter decongestant medication. I was so worried about her and it taking to long for her to get better I begged her to go to the doctor. (the dr called in the z-pac) She refused and said she would just have to wait it out. She had no energy but that is coming back. I would say give it another couple of days and if its not better by Monday you should call the dr. In the mean time, go to your closest pharmacy and ask to speak to the pharmacist. They will tell you which cold meds you can take with your bp meds. Also, chicken noodle soup is good for the soul! Hot tea with a little bit of hunny helps with the coughing. It's sounds like you are coughing because of post nasal drip. I get that from my allergies and it sucks! I hope you feel better soon. Remember lots of rest and lots of fluids!

yes take a shower....Do you feel that NOT washing all the germs off will make you better faster? I have never heard or read anything that says anything to that effect. Hope you feel better soon.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
