No Raise Again - SSD

Well 2nd year in a row the news says no increase in inflation so no increase ins SS payments. Where the hell do they get their info $3 milk $3 gas $7 smokes my costs are inflated. But with no "inflation" no raise in SS incomes. For me means no raise in my VA benefits either.

Getting by on the same amount and paying more we tighten our belts and the feds spend record amounts on stimulus and deficit, it just doesn't seem fair.

Do you have a standard rate for SSDI in the US...if so how much a week is it? if you don't mind me asking

The rate varies per individual. Yet our congress-critters manage to vote themselves a raise.

Everything is going to hit the fan with this latest mortgage fraud information that's out. Maybe we should just be happy we get something, raise or not.

news said the average SSD payment was $1074 not much really but even 1 or 2 % increase would be good.

The SSD amount depends on the amount you paid in so it is different for each individual. I am just glad I have SSD. I would be in dire straits without it.

In these uncertain times and with hubby only working thirty hours a week, I am glad to just be getting something. Raise or not.

just gets me I guess that all the govt big wigs get their raise every year but those of us that rely on a COLA like the military post office public service and SS wont get anything. Something is better than nothing but eventually it will be nothing !!!

Oh yay another year without a raise let me do a tap dance please. Yes I am grateful for what I get even if it is under federal poverty guidelines but am with Nobody on this one - Congress got their fucking raise and yes I think 2 years without the usual cost of living raise for us is horrible. To top it off they still owe e back 800 from this year and once again this month my check was a 100 short - betting those that oversee this got their raise tho

We've just watched the president give a speech about how he's going to change the whole infrastructure .. particularly in regards to high speed railways etc.. and he said it's not going to increase the deficit? WHAT IN THE HECK?

Ok so we're all going to pay for it because the poor will pay the most.. then the middle class is going to have 100 bucks a wack taken from their checks.. ARGHH!
