Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

There so much going on in this world today i feel emotions that i always try to keep hidden deep inside ....my tears keep bursting out like an explosion the more i try to hide.... the more it hurts ....times are getting rough..i cant talk to anyone i love or so called friends because no one understands how i go from being super high energetic supermom/superwoman..to feeling super lonely and crying. If it starts raining for example...etc.... and just having no energy to literally walk down the hall and pee....what have i become? how can i fix this? how can i fix me? can i ever be normal? what really is normal?...... are just some of the questions that urk my nonstop running mind...ugh.... how did i get here? to this person i am today? i talk to myself quite often not because im crazy i promise you im not....although sometimes i do feel i am..but i talk to myself to calm me...to tell myself things i wish i can share with another person...God knows how many so called friendships ive had that have not lasted because im one way today and another tomorrow its like me....just me is unperdicatable in the way my emotions fly...the way i snap ...the way i make all these plans to do so many things and then the next day i just cant even gather the strenghth to roll out of bed....some people think life is hard......try living with bipolar....it feels like its worse.....i pray one day i will be fixed...im tryin...but apparently im assured by all these doctors that its chemical...or whatever...i like to think we are all unique....(bipolars,depression,schizos,etc)...i feel ok that i feel ok to come and post on here because poeple dont seem as judgemental as in life...idk...im sad today and just wanted to write a few words down ....while i can ..i have no friends no relationships seem to last ...i guess its me...well thanks for taking the time to read and i hope there someone out there who feels as i do...and i pray for all who are struggling...and i pray for me too....its hard and i try to take it day by day....Life is sometimes unfair but why do i always feel like i got the short end of the stick.?

It's been some time since my last post...sorry. I've been going through a challenging time with the sale of my home, purchase of a condo and my adult asperger son that lives with me. I've had days where I couldn't get out of bed, days where I stayed in my pj's and days where all I managed to do was eat, drink fluids and take care of my Sweet Mia kitty. Sweet Mia came to me from a shelter about...

If I come to DS and it won't do anything when I click "Login", I go to a post, click and then click "Leave a Reply". Then it will let me log in.Of course, sometimes DS just goes to "Error 504". Then I can't log in.

I hear you on being up and down. I'm listening and you are welcome to send me a friend request if you want.
As for head chatter, I call this the never ending Hamster Wheel or The Broken Record Syndrome....just words going faster and faster around in my head with never stopping or the constant spin with no end insight.
As for friends...you're right, they 'don't get us' are afraid they might do or say the wrong thing...ya might want to give 'true friends' a book about understanding bipolar, especially hubby...
Next....grrrr.... I've no Place in my brain, and hope Your Brain will exit Left in thinking you or Anyone is "Super" Anything!!! Not!!!
I'd suggest to you to start a daily journal of your feelings, moods etc throughout the day for a month....or at least until you see some type of a pattern to help you deal with getting to the bathroom :)
I'm rapid cycle BP1, if I do too much one day, the next day I'm on the floor....bp comes in many different 'levels of disability' so one person's bp can be totally different from another's.
Another area you can explore is type in the 'name of your town' bipolar support groups....these groups are usually run by bp'ers and personally I found a great resource and Huge Benefit to my tendency towards isolation...
Keep Posting!! Welcome and I hope you'll get what will help you feel better about yourself and your life here on ds.
I'm a old fart married dad thats not a sleaze, and I'm not around as much nor am I as reliable a support or friend as many others because I have quite an issue with being very slow and indecisive about what I want to say so it takes me ages to type anything, but I'll send you a friend request because I can relate really strongly to just where you are at. No pressure to accept from a strange man really!
I'll finish by sharing a perspective... there is a middle ground between mania and depression that is ignored by the black and white thinking behind the classification bipolar. When not at the extremes the middle ground healthy capacities for peace or aliveness can become available to you, the two poles of more stable moods. Often this takes a combination of meds and therapy according to most of the helpful support I have seen here but equally as important for me has been some of the great friendships I have experienced at DS and still am. Just what you are seeking. People who understand you better than you have experienced to date. I found DS to be that place for me so I wish you the very best!
